Contoh Penggunaan Relative Pronouns Dalam Kalimat

Kata  Who, Whom, Whose, Which, That  bisa diartikan ’yang’.

Kata-kata tersebut dapat berfungsi sebagai kata penghubung dalam kalimat :

Who	Digunakan untuk orang
Whom	Digunakan untuk orang sebagai obyek
Whose	Digunakan untuk nenyatakan kepunyaan
Which	Untuk benda
That	Untuk orang dan benda

Contoh penggunaan “who”  dalam kalimat:

·         The woman who lost a bag is Mrs Lee

·         The boy who broke the glass is Robin

Contoh penggunaan “whom”  dalam kalimat:

·         The boy whom I gave the book to is the best student

·         The girl whom Charles lent the magazine to is very pretty

Contoh penggunaan “whose” dalam kalimat:

·         The man whose wife died last week is my teacher

·         The woman whose husband is ill will call the doctor
